Summary:

Responsible for providing support for quality control and performance as directed by senior staff by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Reduce all test data for all types of testing performed in laboratory.
  • Proficient in Excel, desirable to have knowledge of VB or ability to write Macros.
  • Work with the Quality Manager on improving the lab data automation.
  • Perform Pre/Post measurements/inspections on test specimens.
  • Work with Quality to maintain and to improve all aspects of LIMS.
  • Perform and maintain all laboratory equipment calibrations.
  • Takes direction from senior staff and follows procedures.*
  • Meets all deadlines.*
  • Responsible for data reduction and reports to senior staff.*
  • Operates corporate equipment safely.*
  • Ensures compliance with budget.*
  • Performs and any other duties, as assigned.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook.

Education/Experience:

Minimum of High School Diploma – preferred: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
